Day 3 Results) Oklahoma Baptist finished competition Saturday in the Great American Conference Men's Track and Field Championship, hosted by Harding at Ted Lloyd Track Stadium.

Due to OBU's provisional status in the conference, the Bison were not allowed to compete as a team at the championship. OBU won two events on Saturday.
Â
Carlos James took first place in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.55.
Jordan Patterson won the long jump at 6.83 meters.

Nathan Crowson registered a third place finish in the 1500 meters in 4:00.44 and
Jacob Janzen was fifth in 4:01.65.
Â
Devontrae Young finished fourth in the 100 meters with a time of 10.87.
Â
In the 400 meters,
Christopher Walker (55.60) finished second,
Dakota Kappelle (56.03) was third and
Cayden Spain (57.77) was sixth.
Â
Matthew Giudice ran the 400 meters in 48.60 for a second place finish and
Clayton Honeycutt was fourth in 49.65.

Blaine Whitson took second place in the 5000 meters in 15:00.81.

A team of
Thiago Dos Santos, Young,
Brandon Crowley, and Jermaine Lewis finished fourth in the 4x100 meter relay in 42.18.

Thomas Uglean was fourth in the 800 meters in 1:56.95.

Crowley took second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.89 and Walker was third in 15.36.
Â
Giudice, Honeycutt, Carlos, and Crowley finished second in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:17.82.

Hayden Ashley was third in the long jump (6.42 meters), second in the javelin (48.77 meters) and tied for fourth in the pole vault (4.10).

Tanner Profice tied for fifth in the long jump with a distance of 6.40 meters.
Â
Cooper Koons had a fourth place finish in the javelin at 44.25 meters.

In the pole vault,
Phillip Spess (4.40 meters) finished second,
Spencer Lashley (4.10 meters) tied for fourth, and
Luke Cusack (3.95 meters) tied for sixth place.

Jacob Cochran finished fifth in the discus (34.45 meters) and the shot put (13.48 meters).

Harding repeated as men's GAC champions with 229 points, defeating second place Southern Arkansas at 152 points. Unofficially, the Bison men would have won the meet had they been eligible to compete for a championship, edging out Harding with an unofficial total of 164 to 157.

Up next for the Bison is the Drake Relays, from April 26-29, where Head Coach
Ford Mastin will be inducted into the Drake Relays Hall of Fame.
