Track Leads Combined Events at GAC Meet

SEARCY, Ark. – (Day 1 Results) Oklahoma Baptist's Andrew Worley and Lacey Herbert are leading the decathlon and heptathlon, respectively, after the first day at the Great American Conference Track and Field Championships, hosted by Harding.
 
Worley has totaled 3545 points through five events, posting top-three finishes in every event and taking first on two occasions. He had the top long jump (6.63 meters) and shot put (11.70 meters), and also finished second in the 100 meters and 400 meters.
 
Kolten Speaks is currently in eighth place in the decathlon with 2597 points.
 
Herbert compiled 2689 points through four events in the heptathlon Thursday. The senior won the 100 meter hurdles in 15.15 and tied for first in the high jump (1.52 meters).
 
Maggie Smith is fourth in the heptathlon with 2306 points, Raigan Servati is seventh at 2181, and Carleigh Neal sits in ninth with a 2121 total.
 
All combined events will wrap up Friday beginning at 10 a.m. at Ted Lloyd Track Stadium. Field events and some distance runs will round out the day Friday, with competition ending Saturday.
