SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist and Southeastern Oklahoma State renew their long-time rivalry Sunday and Monday.

The teams play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Sunday and a single game at 1 p.m. Monday. The original schedule was pushed back by expected heavy rains in Shawnee.

Southeastern Oklahoma State leads the all-time series 93-77. It is the most played rivalry for Bison baseball at 170 games. The Savage Storm took two of three last season in Durant. OBU, however, won the getaway game and has a one-game win streak in the series.

Southeastern Oklahoma State comes into Shawnee with a 14-22-1 overall record and a 12-13 mark in the Great American Conference.

The Savage Storm is batting at a .257 clip as a team. Hunter Harrison leads the team with a .328 batting average, six home runs and 28 runs batted in. SOSU has 17 home runs this season.

As a team, Southeastern has a 4.89 earned run average. Brandon Wolski leads the team with a 3.22 earned run average out of the bullpen. Hayden Grimes leads the starters at 304 with a 4.47 ERA.

Coming off of a three-game sweep of East Central on the road, the Bison are 26-15 on the season.

Brad Adams leading the way out of the bullpen with a 2.55 ERA. A.J. Merkel has been a primary starter in non-conference games, though he got a start against ECU. Merkel this season is 4-2 with a 2.61 ERA.
