SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist outdoor track and field has a busy weekend in store, with athletes appearing in three meets across three states Friday and Saturday.

Bison and Lady Bison are competing in the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific in Azusa, California. Other competitors will appear in the University of Central Arkansas Open in Conway, Arkansas, and the K.T. Woodman Classic, hosted by Wichita State in Wichita, Kansas.

OBU men have met 74 NCCAA national championship qualifying standards this year and own the top time in three events. Reigning Great American Conference Field Athlete of the Week
Phillip Spess had the best pole vault at 15' 9" last week.
Spencer Lashley is second in the pole vault at 15' 1.5".
Jordan Patterson owns the top long jump of the year (24' 2.25") with
Tanner Profice posting the second-best distance (23' 4.5") of the year.
Hayden Ashley has the best performance in the decathlon with 6539 points.

In just three events this season, the Lady Bison have 109 NCCAA qualifiers and have set the top mark in six separate events.
McKae Mitchell owns the fastest 100 meters (11.98) and 200 meters (24.07) times in the NCCAA this year.
Leah Molter posted the top 100 meter hurdles (13.70), and
Kimberly Mead owns the best long jump (18' 4.25"). The best mark in the discus belongs to
Jennifer Baker (146' 3") and
Lacey Herbert set the top score in the heptathlon with 4360 points.
