SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist and East Central have moved their series in Ada up one day in attempt to avoid foul weather.

The teams will play a single game Thursday at 3 and a doubleheader Friday at 1 p.m.

Oklahoma Baptist leads the all-time series 108-57. Last year in Shawnee, OBU lost two of three games, despite holding the Tigers to four runs for the series. ECU has the last victory in the rivalry.

The Bison are 23-15 overall and 14-10 in the Great American Conference. OBU is batting .301 as a team.
Brett Berghammer leads the squad with .368 batting average and
Josh Timms has six home runs to lead the squad.
Zane Gelphman has a team-high 44 runs batted in to go with his .361 batting average. OBU has 24 home runs as a team.

The Bison pitching staff carries a 3.62 earned run average.
Jinny Parra (6-3, 2.51) has been the mainstay of the conference rotations.
Carson McPherson (4-3, 4.80) and
Tyler Gibson (3-3, 4.89) also have been starters in recent GAC contests.

The Tigers come into the series at 9-23 overall and 8-16 in the Great American Conference. ECU is 6-9 at home this season. The Tigers are batting .255 on the season. Jake MeKeel leads the team with a .374 batting average while Connor Stevenson has been the slugger for the team with six home runs and 25 runs batted in. Four batters are hitting over .300 for ECU, but the rest of the squad checks in at .210.

The Tiger pitching staff has a combined earned run average of 5.42. Jake Wellington (1-3, 3.05 ERA), Dylan Sanchez (1-9, 6.49 ERA) and Brandon Dusenberry (4-5, 3.38 ERA) have been the primary starters. Sheae Edmond (2-3, 5.17 ERA and a save) has been the most reliable reliever.
