SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist begins the outdoor track and field season at home Thursday, hosting the OBU Outdoor Invitational at the Hurt Memorial Track.

The Bison and Lady Bison begin their defense of the 2016 NCCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in the first outdoor meet of the spring. Both teams repeated as indoor national champions in February.

Field events are set to get started at noon, and then wrap up with a final session beginning at 1 p.m. in the one-day meet.

Running events begin with the 10,000 meters at noon, followed by the remaining events at 1 p.m. and continuing on a rolling time schedule.
