SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist seeks to avenge a loss from last week when its hosts Northeastern State in a 6 p.m. game Tuesday at Bison Field at Ford Park.

Northeastern State out-scored Oklahoma Baptist 12-6 in Tahlequah. Every Bison starting position player had a hit in that game.
Blake Whitehead started and
Nick Burnham got the loss as those two pitchers battled control problems with four walks each.
Juan Gonzalez had two hits, including a home run.
Josh Timms had a double and a single and
Bob English had two RBI to go with two hits.
Brad Adams and
Tyler Gibson each pitched a scoreless inning.

The RiverHawks' win over the Bison in Tahlequah was their 49th in the all-time series. OBU now leads 110-49-1. It was their first win in the series since 1996. That same year, OBU beat NSU in the NAIA Area Championship - a game in which the Bison turned a triple play. That victory placed the Bison in the NAIA World Series.

OBU is 8-8 overall this season and led in hitting by
Josh Timms. Timms is batting .375 with a team-leading three home runs.
Zane Gelphman has 20 RBI to lead the Bison in that category.
As a team, the Bison are hitting .303 with a 3.96 earned run average.
