Lady Bison Trample Eagles

SHAWNEE – (Results) Oklahoma Baptist defeated Southwestern Christian in a dual Friday afternoon at the Shawnee Country Club.
 
The Lady Bison posted a 320 total as a team, while the Eagles finished at 347 in the one-round event. All players competed on a 5816-yard layout, played as a par 72.
 
Michelle Carr placed first after a four-over 76, shooting a 38 on both the front and back nine. Carr played the final six holes of the day at two-under par, making two birdies and four pars to close out a strong round.
 
Shannen Stewart finished in a tie for fourth place with Elly Baze after they each shot 80. Senior Emma Williams finished in 85, and Paige Neidy carded an 84.
 
Four OBU players also competed as individuals. Freshman Olivia Klefsaas took second place with a six-over par 78, her lowest round as a Lady Bison. Grace Johnson and Kadrian Shelton both used 88 strokes, and Sidney Stover shot 101 to round out the individual scoring.
 
Only two tournaments remain on the schedule for the Lady Bison. Up next is the Central Region Spring Preview on April 10-11, at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri.
