SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist starts its four-game set with Northwestern Oklahoma State this weekend at Lady Bison Park.
 
OBU hosts a 4 p.m. doubleheader Friday with a noon twin bill Saturday.
 
Northwestern leads the all-time series by a 28-17 count, most of those games coming as Sooner Athletic Conference foes. The teams split four games last year, 2-2, in Alva.
 
Northwestern Oklahoma State is 9-23 overall and 7-13 in the Great American Conference. The Rangers are coming off an impressive trip to Southern Arkansas where they won two games. NWOSU has won at least two games of their last three series after breaking a 14-game losing slump prior to Jill Webb taking over as interim coach.
 
The team is hitting .221, led by Brittany Corrales at .312. Audrey Estes leads the team with 14 RBI and Madison McGraw has four home runs. Madison Garza leads the pitching staff with a 4.52 earned run average. The Rangers own a 5.08 team ERA.
 
The Lady Bison are 11-17 overall and 3-15 in the Great American Conference as they take on an Oklahoma GAC opponent for the first time this season. Jill Shipman leads the team with a .354 batting average. Madison Vaughan and Sam Barry have five home runs apiece. Vaughan, Barry and Cheyenne Demaree share the RBI lead with 10 each.
 
OBU hits .265 as a team and carries a 5.14 earned run average. Haylee Zimmerman leads the pitching staff with a 6-5 record and a 3.85 earned run average in 10 starts with six complete games.
