SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist returns to Great American Conference baseball action this weekend with a three-game series with Harding.
 
The Bison and HU meet at 2 p.m., Friday, for the opener and finish the series with a 1 p.m. doubleheader. Fans are encouraged to wear green on Friday (St. Patrick's Day).
 
Harding comes into the series at 6-6 in the Great American Conference and 7-14 overall. HU has a .235 team batting average and a 5.12 team earned run average. Grant Guest leads Harding with a .293 batting average while Luke Van Dover has been the run producer with two home runs and 12 RBI. Austin Allen has emerged as the staff ace with a 3-2 record and a 3.34 earned run average. Mason Faulkner has three saves and a team-best 2.08 earned run average.
 
The Bison are 12-9 overall and 6-6 in the GAC.
 
Josh Timms is batting .349 to lead the Bison in hitting and his three home runs also is tops on the team. Zane Gelphman leads the Bison with 28 RBI. Zach Fowler (2-1, 2.30) has been the top starting pitcher in Great American Conference action for the Bison. The Bison hit .298 and carry a 3.74 ERA as a team.
