Final Results) Oklahoma Baptist track and field wrapped up their first indoor meet of the season Saturday at the Crimson & Gold Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State.

The Lady Bison met two provisional standards and the Bison had seven top-10 finishers at the season-opening meet.

Abby Hoover met the NCAA Division II provisional time in the 5000-meter run with a time of 16:54.81, winning the event by more than eight seconds.

A team of
McKae Mitchell,
Breanna Hurlbut,
JoziRose Mayfield and
Kya Barnes finished fourth in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:50.73, meeting the provisional standard.

Leah Molter finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.90.
Â
Barnes and Hurlbut each registered a top-10 finish in the 400-meter dash. Barnes was sixth in 57.32 and Hurlbut took ninth place at 58.86.

In the 600-yard run, Mayfield finished sixth with a time of 1:26.75.

Tesa Potter ran the 800-meter run in 2:14.21, which was fast enough for second place.
Brooklynn James finished eighth with a time of 2:23.78.

Mitchell took seventh place in the 200-meter dash at 25.38.
Â
OBU men dominated the one-mile run with three Bison finishing in the top five, including first and second place.
Jacob Janzen won the event in 4:18.91 followed by
Nathan Crowson in second place at 4:19.65.
Garrett Elmore finished fifth with a time of 4:21.37.

Janzen also placed fourth in the 3000-meter run in 8:46.31.
Blaine Whitson took ninth place in the event at 8:58.01.

Carlos James took third place in the 800-meter run in 1:53.85 and
Dillon Phillips finished sixth at 1:55.09.

OBU returns to the track on Jan. 12 at the Shocker Prelude, hosted by Wichita State in Wichita, Kansas.
