SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist got career high scoring totals from three players in a 100-65 win over Kansas Christian Saturday.
Â
Adnan Jahic scored a team-best 20 points,
Tyler Lester added 18 and
Spencer Lindsey 15 – all personal bests in a Bison uniform – with
Chandler Rickey joining them in double figures in the scoring column with 11.
Â
Jahic was nine of 13 from the field, missing only shots from three-point range, as he continually drove the lane successfully. Lester took up the three-point slack, knocking down six treys in a dozen attempts.
Â
Lindsey and Rickey were efficient scorers with Lindsey getting 15 points on five of six shooting from the field to go with a 4-4 day at the free throw line. Rickey was five of nine from the field. Lindsey and Rickey shared high-rebound honors for the Bison with seven each.
Â
Rickey also swatted away five shots.
Â
All 10 available Bison scored at least three points each in the game.
Â
Kansas Christian kept pace for eight minutes but the Bison used a 16-3 run to build a 34-18 lead with 8:13 to go in the first half. Lester had nine points in that spree.
Â
The Bison owned a 51-30 halftime lead.
Â
OBU would lead by as many as 38 points on three different occasions in the second half.
Â
The Bison end the first semester at 5-5 for the first time since leaving the NAIA. OBU returns to the court with a home game Jan. 4 against Arkansas Tech.
