SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist got a double-double from 
Chandler Rickey in its 87-84 loss to Arkansas Tech in the Noble Complex Thursday.
 
Rickey finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds.
 
OBU had leads of 10 points in the first half and eight points in the second, but the hot-shooting Wonder Boys blistered the nets from three-point range, paced by a 9 of 12 night by Jeremi Grace.
 
The Bison got out to a 13-3 lead 5:18 into the game with scoring from all five starters.
 
ATU closed to within 14-11 before back-to-back athletic dunks by Rickey. Rickey slammed home an offensive rebound and less than a minute later completed the alley-oop dunk with a feed from 
Britt Hammons.
 
Arkansas Tech rallied back and led 45-43 by halftime.
 
OBU used a 10-0 run to take a 61-53 lead at the 13:24 mark of the second half, but couldn't withstand another run by ATU, which scored seven straight to take a 73-69 lead with 7:13 remaining.
 
OBU cut the lead to 85-84 on a three-pointer by Rickey with 2:32 to go, but the Bison couldn't get any more shots to go down.
 
Travon Moore finished with 19 points and 
Brantly Thompson contributed 11. Thompson and Hammons had eight rebounds each. 
Vladimir Nemcok led OBU with five assists and four steals.
 
OBU returns to action in the Noble Complex at 3 p.m., Saturday, hosting Harding.
