CLAREMORE – Oklahoma Baptist picked up an 80-66 road win at Rogers State Saturday, getting a season-best 21 points from
McKenzie Cooper.
Cooper was six of nine from the field, including four three-pointers, to lead a quartet of Lady Bison in double figures in the scoring column.
Tasha Edge had 16 points, Shaylan Coleman came off the bench for 15 points and
Lexi Williams added 11.
Edge had four of OBU's five blocked shots and led the team with six rebounds.
Autumn Avina and Coleman had three assists each with Avina leading the team with three steals.
OBU led 15-14 after the first quarter and 34-30 at the half. The Lady Bison led by as many as 10 in the third quarter before RSU used a 12-0 run to take a 44-42 lead with 4:55 to go in the period.
Down 46-45, the Lady Bison rallied for 10 straight points on a three-pointer by Sydney Hein, a basket by Edge, a pair of free throws by
Monae Smith and a three-pointer by Williams.
OBU led 59-52 going into the final quarter and RSU would get no closer than that from there.
Now 3-2 on the season, the Lady Bison host new Sooner Athletic Conference member Central Christian at 5:30 p.m., Monday.
