Lady Bison Post 109 on CCC

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist scored the most points in a game since 2013 Monday when they hung a 109-68 loss on Sooner Athletic Conference member Central Christian.
 
The Lady Bison matched the No. 12 single season scoring mark for the program, tying a 2002 contest against Messenger College with the 109 points. The school record of 159 was set against Southwest Adventist in 1995.
 
Every Lady Bison who played scored at least one field goal. Tasha Edge led the team with 19 points to go with 13 rebounds. Shaylan Coleman added 16 points, Lexi Williams had 12 and McKenzie Cooper posted 15 points in 11 minutes, hitting all five three-point attempts.
 
Williams scored five points as OBU opened the game on a 13-0 run. The Lady Bison led by as many as 21 points in the first quarter, finishing that frame with a 33-14 lead.
 
Kadesha Cooper gave OBU its largest lead of the first half with a basket with 38 seconds remaining for a 63-29 lead. OBU had a 63-32 advantage at the half.
 
OBU led by as many as 37 points on three difference occasions in the third quarter and had an 81-46 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
 
Charissa Price gave OBU its first 100-point game of the season with 4:29 remaining for a 100-62 lead and Allie Fuller scored inside for a 105-64 lead at the 2:33 mark.
 
Kadesha Cooper added a free throw for the final margin with 14 seconds to play.
 
Now 4-2 on the season, the Lady Bison return to Great American Conference action Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. contest at Ouachita Baptist.
