MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist flexed some defensive muscle in the fourth quarter and claimed its first Great American Conference win at Southern Arkansas Thursday, 67-53.

After leading throughout the first half, OBU found itself down four points early on in the fourth quarter, but held the Lady Muleriders to 9 percent shooting for the quarter. OBU outscored SAU 23-8 in the fourth quarter.

OBU was on the downside of a 23-10 foul count through three quarters, but hit 11 of 14 free throw attempts in the final quarter.

Edge finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds while
Lexi Williams added 12 points and
Autumn Avina contributed 10. Williams also paced the team with four assists and five steals.

Now 4-7 overall and 1-4 in the GAC, the Lady Bison play at Arkansas-Monticello Saturday at 1 p.m.
