ALVA – Katy Custer scored 27 points but an OBU rally came up short in a 77-73 loss at Northwestern Oklahoma State Thursday night.

Custer canned 11 of 15 field goal attempts, all four of her free throws and added a three-pointer for her 27 points. She recorded a double-double with 12 rebounds.

Tasha Edge added 13 points and
Monae Smith contributed 12. Edge and
Autumn Avina had eight rebounds each with Avina adding nine points and five assists.

OBU trailed by as many as 10 points in the third quarter and twice cut the lead to a single possession, but could not draw closer than that.

Now 4-12 on the season and 1-9 in the Great American Conference, OBU returns home Saturday to face Southwestern Oklahoma State in a 1 p.m. tip.
