SHAWNEE – Coming off a 1-1 season, Oklahoma Baptist Men's Soccer heads to the state's capital for their first road test of the young season as they take on Oklahoma City University on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. at Stars Field. A win would mark the first for the program under OBU head coach

Oklahoma Baptist is currently averaging two goals per match, led by
Vicente Castillo with two goals, including one game-winner, on ten shots.
Josue De Paz has also scored a goal, while the other goal for the Bison came via own goal against Oklahoma Christian in a 4-2 win.

Colin Spencer holds a 2.5 goals-against average, while posting six saves for a .545 save percentage. Oklahoma Baptist has done well at not conceding dead-ball opportunities, giving up just five corner kicks so far this season.

Oklahoma City enters the match at 2-1 after wins over Bethel and Central Baptist. Juan Ocampo and Alexandre Taiar lead the team with two goals apiece. The Stars are currently averaging 22.67 shots per match. Goalkeeper Vladimir Kalajdzic currently holds a 1.67 GAA, and is saving three out of every four shots he's seen as OCU is permitting just 10.33 shots per match.
