SHAWNEE – A familiar face awaits the Bison as they make the trek to Bolivar, Missouri, to face Southwest Baptist on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. Former Oklahoma Baptist player and assistant coach Nick Pettit currently manages the Bearcats.

The Bison boast a high-octane offense that has generated a Great American Conference-best 11 goals and 28 points (11g, 6a) through five matches this season.
Vicente Castillo leads the attack, with team-highs in goals (5) and points (11).
Jonathan Martinez and
Thiago Dos Santos have also had a hand in balancing the offensive, as both players have two goals this season. The first two GAC Offensive Players of the Week have worn the green-and-gold of Oklahoma Baptist.

On defense,
Bronson Wise has started the last two matches for OBU, and currently holds a 2.00 goals-against average and .714 save percentage. His GAA is currently the third-best mark among conference goalkeepers this season.

Southwest Baptist enters Saturday's contest at 0-6, and is mired in a 49-match losing streak. Offensively, the Bearcats are averaging .80 goals per match, and no SBU player has scored more than one goal this season. Lajos Zadravecz has been the primary starter in goal this season, and he has a 2.75 GAA and .542 save percentage to his credit.

Oklahoma Baptist remains on the road following Saturday's contest as they make the short trip to Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to face Northeastern State at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19.
