ARKADELPHIA, Arkansas – Jinny Parra and Brad Adams combined for a four-hit shutout as Oklahoma Baptist scored a 10-0 run-rule victory at Henderson State Friday.
Parra scattered three hits over seven innings of work, striking out four batters.
The Bison took a 5-0 lead in the first frame, using a run-scoring wild pitch, an RBI single by Ryan Joyce and a three-run double by Cody Ziegler.
Hunter Heath added an RBI double to start a four-run seventh, followed by an RBI single by Joyce and a two-run single by Joseph Moran.
Joyce added an RBI fielder's choice in the eighth for the 10-0 lead.
OBU finished with 10 hits, including two each by Dustyn Cook, Heath and Joyce.
The teams conclude the series with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at HSU Saturday.
