Parra Handcuffs Harding

SEARCY, Arkansas – Oklahoma Baptist's Jinny Parra allowed one unearned run on two hits while striking out 10 in a complete-game 6-1 win at Harding Friday.

Zach Stewart singled, reached second on an error, advanced to third on a sacrifice and scored on a wild pitch in the first inning.

Parra allowed just one more hit the rest of the way.

OBU tied the game on a Ryan Joyce home run to lead off the fourth and took a 2-1 lead in the sixth on a run-producing double play ball by Felipe Gonzalez.

The Bison put four on the board in the top of the ninth on a grand slam by Trevor Ezell.

OBU had nine hits in the game, including two each by Ezell and Joyce.

The teams meet for a noon doubleheader Saturday to finish the three-game Great American Conference series.
