Drovers Trim Bison, 7-5

CHICKASHA – Oklahoma Baptist rallied from three runs down but couldn't get the win at USAO Tuesday, falling 7-5.

OBU broke a scoreless tie in the fourth on Ryan Joyce's 11th home run of the season.


USAO scored the next three runs with two in the fourth on solo home runs and one run in the fifth.

OBU made it 3-2 in the top of the sixth on an RBI single by Dustyn Cook, but the Drovers scored twice in the home half of the sixth for a 5-2 lead.

OBU tied the score in the top of the seventh on a n RBI double by Felipe Gonzalez and an RBI single by Kyle Abblitt.

USAO scored twice in the eighth and shut out the Bison in the ninth for the win.

OBU had 13 hits in the loss, including four by Cook and two each by Joyce and Hunter Heath.

The Bison return to Great American Conference action Friday, starting a three-game set with East Central with a 6 p.m. single game in Shawnee. The two teams meet again Saturday at Bison Field for a noon doubleheader.
