York held Oklahoma Baptist to three runs for a 5-3 win Saturday, one day after getting blasted for 33 runs.
The Bison managed 10 hits but left 10 nine runners on base and came up empty on bases-loaded opportunities. Hunter Heath had a pair of doubles and Dustyn Cook produced two hits as well.
OBU had bases loaded with one out in the fifth but Jaraad Salas struck out OBU's three- and four-hole hitters to get out unscathed.
In the sixth, OBU got two runs on a sacrifice fly by Felipe Gonzalez and an RBI walk by Cook, but Corey Mixon induced a double play with the bases loaded and York held on to a 4-3 lead.
OBU's only other run came in the fifth on an RBI infield single by Kyle Abblitt.
Four of York's five runs had reached as a walk or a hit batsman.
Chad Bennett, 0-1, took the loss for the Bison.
OBU returns to action Friday, taking on Park and Southwestern Christian in the Dallas Christian Round Robin in Dallas, Texas.
