Lady Bison Punish Northwestern

ALVA – Arielle Cooper had 20 points and Raquel Dudzevich came off the bench for 12 points and 15 rebounds as Oklahoma Baptist blew past Northwestern Oklahoma State Thursday, 78-53.

The victory qualified the OBU women for the NCCAA postseason, which will start with the Central Regional in March.


The Lady Bison trailed 12-3 in the first quarter before rolling off a 13-4 run to trail 18-16 at the end of the quarter. OBU then opened with a 22-5 run in the second quarter to take a 38-23 lead.

OBU led 45-28 at the half.

Morgan Davenport hit a three-pointer to give OBU its biggest lead and the final margin.

Joining Cooper and Dudzevich in double-figures in the scoring column were Lexi Williams with 13 and Tasha Edge and Kiara Moore with 10 apiece.

The Lady Bison hit 18 of 21 free throws, including a 7-for-7 night from Williams.

Dudzevich's 14 rebounds led a 51-rebound effort for the Lady Bison.

Cameerah Graves added six assists.

Now 12-13 overall and 10-9 in the Great American Conference, the Lady Bison play at home for the final time this season at 1 p.m., Saturday, against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
