DALLAS, Texas – Oklahoma Baptist cruised to a pair of wins in the Dallas Christian Round Robin Saturday, beating host Dallas Christian 20-3 and Park 11-1.

OBU had 15 hits in the 20-3 win, getting four from Kyle Abblitt and two each by Dustyn Cook, Brandon Cuddy, Ryan Joyce and Landon Harper.


Cuddy had five RBI and Joyce added three.

Jinny Parra got the pitching win, allowing two runs over four innings. Blake Whitehead finished up with two innings of one-run relief.

OBU scored once in the second on a home run by Joyce.

The Bison exploded for 11 runs in the third with an RBI walk by Cuddy, a two-run single by Hunter Heath, a three-run double by Joyce, a two-run double by Abblitt, an RBI single by Dustyn Cook and a sacrifice fly by Cuddy.

OBU picked up four in the fourth on two-run doubles by Austin Whitaker and Cuddy.

Abblitt added an RBI single in the fifth.

In the sixth, Cuddy added an RBI double Harper singled in a run and Whitaker added a sacrifice fly.

In the game against Park, OBU had 13 hits, including three by Cuddy and two each by Joyce, Heath and Felipe Gonzalez.

Nathan Thompson allowed an unearned run over six innings, collecting 10 strikeouts to move to 2-0.

The Bison scored twice in the second on RBI singles by Gonzalez and Joseph Moran.

Three more runs crossed in the third on a solo home run by Cuddy and a two-run home run by Heath.

OBU scored three in the fifth on an RBI single by Cuddy and a two-run homer by Joyce.

OBU got its last three runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Cuddy and a bases-loaded walk to Joyce. The last run scored on an error.

Now 6-1, the Bison host Oklahoma Christian Tuesday at 2 p.m.
