KISSIMMEE, Fla. – After dropping their first set at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament, Oklahoma Baptist rallied back and ripped off three straight sets to drop No. 2-seeded Campbellsville, 3-1 (17-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-16), on Friday morning to clinch the top spot in Pool B.

As a result of the win, the Lady Bison conclude pool play with a sterling 3-0 record and will face No. 4-seed Trinity Christian College this evening in the NCCAA Championship Semifinals inside the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida. The Trinity Trolls stumbled in their final match to finish in second place in Pool A with a 2-1 mark.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first set, the Lady Bison broke off two early four-point swings in the second set, including a pair of kills by
Nicole Fleitman. The Tigers evened the score a 9-9 soon after, but Fleitman sparked another pair of three-point flourishes, creating a 17-13 advantage for OBU.
Cadyn Laing scored three of OBU's next seven points, and the Lady Bison tied up the match at 1-1 following another kill by Fleitman.

Blocks by Laing,
Kynnedy Myers and
Shekinah Sharpe helped Oklahoma Baptist establish an early lead in the third set. Holding a narrow 9-8 lead,
Sophia Couto found a soft spot in CU's defense, triggering a six-point run that included a kill and block by
Abigail Corff. The freshman outside would go on to secure the set for the Green-and-Gold off a feed by Myers.

In the first extra set for OBU this postseason, the Lady Bison capitalized on several early Tiger errors to gain a 9-4 lead. Though the squad led 14-10 midway through the set, a Fleitman score from
Katrina Horner broke the set open in favor of the Lady Bison. After a service error by Campbellsville brought the match to match point,
Madyson Hillis laid down the final kill of the match to claim first place in the group.

Fleitman paced the team with a match-high 14 kills, with Laing just one kill behind at 13. Eight other Lady Bison had at least a kill in the match thanks to 34 assists by Myers.

Sierra VeraCruz posted a match-leading 28 digs for the contest, and Sharpe added 13 of her own. The Lady Bison outblocked Campbellsville, 9-3, as Couto had a hand in six total blocks.

Oklahoma Baptist (23-14) will face Trinity Christian at 6:30 p.m. in the second semifinal match of the day at the Kissimmee Civic Center. They'll look to return to the NCCAA Championship Final for a second straight year.
