SHAWNEE – Dunks, sharp shooting and ball control were all on display as Oklahoma Baptist got its first win of the season, blowing past Manhattan Christian 113-80 Monday.
Â
Six Bison reached double figures in the scoring column and the Bison shot 62.5 percent for the game from the field. OBU hit 48 percent from the three-point arc and canned 32 of 40 free throws for 80 percent.
Â
The win snapped a six-game losing streak, dating back to last season.
Â
"This was a good win for us, but we obviously aren't satisfied," said senior
Steven Green. "After last year a lot of people don't expect us to win. Every night we just go out to prove everybody wrong."
Â
Green led the Bison with 23 points, including five three-pointers, with
Chandler Rickey getting 19 points and a team-high six rebounds to go with six blocked shots.

Kevin Franceschi added 18 points on a perfect shooting night (5-5 field, 8-8 at the line),
Travon Moore scored 16,
Jansen Hight came up with 15 and
Vladimir Nemcok managed 13 points while collecting seven assists.
Â
The Bison led by as many as 34 points. OBU had 19 assists and 10 turnovers – season bests in both categories.
It was OBU's first 100-point game since January 2015 against Texas Wesleyan and the most points scored by a Bison team since a 114-point effort earlier that season.
Â
Now 1-3, OBU goes to Ruston, Louisiana for an exhibition against Louisiana Tech and returns to the Noble Complex Dec. 1 to take on Arkansas Tech in a Great American Conference contest at 7:30 p.m.
