Bison Fall at HSU

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --  Oklahoma Baptist sophomore Isaiah Mallory became just the second Bison to eclipse 1,000 yards rushing Saturday during a 67-21 loss at Henderson State. 

 

Mallory entered the game with 959 yards and went over the four-figure mark in the first quarter on a 12-yard rush. With 58 yards in the game, Mallory has 1017 on the season and is 70 yards shy of Jordan Barnes' school record 1087. 

 

Dezmond Stegall threw two touchdown passes – a 52 yarder to Mallory and a 12-yarder to Frankie Edwards in the second quarter and added a 37-yarder to Noah McGraw in the third quarter. Stegall passed for 263 yards 

 

Mallory was also the leading Bison receiver with four catches and 98 yards. 

 

Charles Taylor III, Devontrae Young and Dennis Nguyen had interceptions for the Bison. Taylor led OBU with seven tackles. 

 

The Bison host Ouachita Baptist in a 2 p.m. game Saturday at Crain Family Stadium and the Hurt Memorial Athletics Complex.
