SHAWNEE, Okla. -- Oklahoma Baptist dropped its home volleyball opener to Central Oklahoma Tuesday night, 3-1, falling 25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-12.
In her absence, OBU struggled offensively with a .147 attack percentage for the night, including a -0.62 in the final set.
Carey Strong led OBU with nine kills while Kate Decker, Cat Roth and Priscilla Mendes added eight each.
Kynnedy Myers had 34 assists, 32 of those coming in the first three sets. Decker had four aces.
Defensively, OBU got 18 digs from Kaitlyn Lucy and 10 from Strong. Nicole Fleitman, Myers and Roth had two block assists each.
Now 3-2 on the season, the Bison head to Kansas City this weekend for the Rockhurst Invitational, where they play Wayne State and Pittsburg State on Friday and McKendree and Christian Brothers on Saturday.
