Oklahoma Baptist swept Southern Nazarene in Bethany Thursday night, claiming the win 25-18, 25-19, 27-25.
It was OBU's ninth consecutive win in the rivalry.
The Lady Bison broke away from a 17-17 tie in the opening set with an 8-1 flurry for a 25-18 win. Denise Coroiescu had two kills and a block and Cat Roth had two blocks in a kill as OBU closed out the set.
With the second set tied at 7-7, OBU came up with two blocks during a 4-0 run to gain some separation. The Lady Bison went on from there to the 25-19 win.
SNU looked like it might take a set from OBU for the first time since 2011, leading 23-21, but Coroiescu and Roth got back-to-back kills to tie.
The Crimson Storm led 25-24 before the Lady Bison answered with kills by Coroiescu and Kynnedy Myers, followed by an SNU attack error for the match point.
Coroiescu led OBU with 12 kills, while Roth and Priscilla Mendes added eight apiece. Myers had 32 assists.
OBU had six blocks on the night and Roth was a part of five of those.
Kaitlyn Lucy had 23 digs, followed by Coroiescu with 12, Shekinah Sharpe with 11 and Myers with 10.
Now 8-7 overall and 3-0 in the GAC, the Lady Bison host East Central Tuesday in St. Jude Night.
