Oklahoma Baptist managed a set win but Missouri Western State won its home opener against the Lady Bison volleyball team Friday, 3-1.
The Griffons won 25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 25-10.
OBU got 10 kills each from Priscila Mendes and Carey Strong and Kynnedy Myers added 31 assists. Kaitlyn Lucy had 29 digs and four aces. Nicole Fleitman was in on four blocks.
Now 5-6 on the season, the Lady Bison take on Nebraska-Kearney at 10 a.m. and Northwest Missouri State at 4 p.m., Saturday, to conclude the MIAA-GAC Crossover in St. Joseph, Missouri.
