Lady Bison Dominate USAO

Oklahoma Baptist dominated an over-matched USAO squad for an 81-43 win in the Noble Complex Monday.

The game allowed the Lady Bison to experiment with some different looks while playing a strong team-oriented offense that saw OBU get 25 assists on 32 baskets.

"We shared the ball better and had great offense again," said OBU Coach Casi Bays. "We made them work on defense. We worked on a few new things on defense."

OBU trailed very early in the game, but used a 20-2 run to break open a one-point game and replace it with a 28-9 lead. USAO ended the first quarter with a four-point possession to make it 28-13.

USAO got no closer than that the rest of the night and OBU led by as many as 41 points in the fourth quarter.

OBU got double-figure scoring from six players with Cameerah Graves getting the first double-double of the season for the Lady Bison with 12 points and 12 assists. The assists total is a career best for Graves.

McKenzie Cooper scored 13 points without playing in the second half. Arielle Cooper and Kiara Moore had 11 points each and Raquel Dudzevich and Katy Custer had 10 apiece.

The Lady Bison out-rebounded USAO 50-43, led by Custer's eight caroms. Graves also got things done on defense with three steals and five blocked shots.

Kiah Cummings led USAO with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Now 2-3 on the season, the Lady Bison next play Dec. 3 at Arkansas Tech.
