BARTLESVILLE - Oklahoma Baptist fell in five sets to Colorado Christian in the NCCAA Central Region Final Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Bison owned a 2-1 lead after three sets but were unable to close out the Cougars, losing 2-3 (17-25, 25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 10-15).
After OBU captured a 4-1 lead in the fifth set, CCU scored five consecutive points to take the final lead of the match.
Four Lady Bison earned All-Region honors, led by Central Region Player of the Year
Kaitlyn Lucy.
Kynnedy Myers and
Cat Roth were named First Team All-Region, and
Carey Strong received Second Team honors.
OBU will now wait to see if their season continues with an at-large bid to the NCCAA National Championship, played from Dec. 3-5 in Kissimme, Florida.
With the win, Colorado Christian earned an automatic bid to the championship.Final stats were not available at the conclusion of the match.
