Lady Bison Claim Pool Title

BARTLESVILLE – Oklahoma Baptist blasted through McMurry for a 3-0 win to win its pool in the NCCAA Central Region Friday afternoon.

The 25-14, 25-22, 25-17 sweep puts OBU in the 8:30 p.m. semifinal against host Oklahoma Wesleyan. Oklahoma Wesleyan was second to Colorado Christian in its pool.

The Lady Bison got it done with defense Friday afternoon, holding the War Hawks to a negative hitting percentage as Cat Roth had five blocks and Nicole Fleitman added four. Kaitlyn Lucy added 13 digs while Kynnedy Myers contributed 11.

Priscila Mendes led the Lady Bison with nine kills with Myers delivering 23 assists. Kate Decker and Taylor Bunger had two aces each.

OBU improved to 22-11 with the win.
