Justin Gordon returned to the OBU football staff in the spring of 2020 as the cornerbacks coach.
Prior to coming back to Bison Hill, Gordon coached at Guthrie High School where he served as the secondary coach, as well as assisting with track and field. Previous to that, Gordon served on the staff of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M as the linebackers coach.
Gordon initially joined the OBU football staff in 2017, serving as the running backs coach and film coordinator.
Prior to OBU he spent time at Bartlesville High School, where he coached football and baseball and was voted a Rising Star Teacher. He coached wide receivers, including an All-State and record-breaking student-athlete. The Bruins were 10-2 in Gordon's first year with the team. He also coached the 18-under Bartlesville American Legion team and assisted with the BHS varsity and junior varsity baseball teams.

Gordon lettered in football and baseball at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, graduating in 2009. After playing quarterback and outfield at Dodge City Community College, Gordon played cornerback at Belhaven University in Mississippi.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in sports media from Oklahoma State in 2014 and won the Associated Press/Oklahoma News Executives Award for Best New Journalist of the year in 2015 as sports editor for the Tahlequah Daily Press.

Gordon is married to Hunter Gordon and attends City Church. He enjoys reading, hunting, traveling and being outdoors.
