Brayle Brown

Shawnee native Brayle Brown joined the OBU coaching staff in 2019 as quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator. Following a record-setting season by the Bison offense, he was promoted to associate offensive coordinator.

Prior to joining the OBU staff, Brown spent the previous year as a graduate assistant coaching running backs at Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas, and served one season as a graduate assistant at Avila University, an NAIA program in Kansas City, Missouri.
 
After starring for Shawnee High School, Brown played college football at the University of Louisiana Monroe, appearing in 24 games, including two starts, during his sophomore and junior campaigns.
 
During his prep career he earned all-district and all-state honors his junior season, helping lead the  Wolves to the conference championship and an undefeated regular season. Brown finished his SHS career with over 4,000 yards passing, 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving and holds the school’s single-season records for total yards, total touchdowns, passing touchdowns, passing yards and completion percentage, as well as the career records in total points, total touchdowns and passing yards.
 
A multi-sport standout, he also lettered in basketball and baseball and was an all-conference selection in baseball for the Wolves.
