Bison Look for Back-to-Back Wins

SHAWNEE – After putting together a nearly flawless offensive performance in last week's 55-37 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State, the Oklahoma Baptist football team will look to make it back-to-back victories when it hosts Southwestern Oklahoma State in a Great American Conference contest at 6.p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Crain Family Stadium.

The Bison (2-1, 2-1 GAC) score on all nine offensive possessions a week ago in an emphatic win while the Bulldogs (0-3, 0-3 GAC) suffered a heartbreaking last-second loss to Southeastern Oklahoma State. OBU suffered a 38-24 setback when the teams last met in Weatherford on Sept. 27, 2025, but have beaten SWOSU in six of the last eight meetings between the teams.

• Oklahoma Baptist put together one of the finest offensive performances in school history in last week's 55-37 victory at Northwestern Oklahoma State.
• The Bison put up their highest point total (55) since a 56-42 shootout against NWOSU on Sept. 18, 2021.
• OBU scored on all nine of its offensive possessions and did not punt or turn the ball over a single time. That has never happened in the program's Divsion II era (2015-pres.)
• Devan Daniels helped fuel the offense with 116 yards, including touchdown runs of 43 and 48 yards. It is just the fourth time in the Division II era that a Bison has scored on two runs of at least 40 yards.
• Brady Bricker completed 30-of-36 pass attempts for 317 yards and a score, tallying a career high for yards and completions. Bricker has connected on 72.0 percent of his passes this year, good for eighth nationally.
• Carter Lowry set a new program record for career field goals when he connected from 48 yards out to end the first half. It was the 14th field goal of his career. He added another from 36 yards in the fourth quarter.
• Brady Luff tied a career high with 10 tackles in last week's win. He leads the Bison defense with 22 tackles this season.
• Jacob Trimble proved to be a threat yet again as he hauled in nine catches for 118 yards against NWOSU. It was his second straight 100-yard game.
