ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — No. 14 Oklahoma Baptist dropped the opener on a seventh‑inning walk‑off before responding with a wire‑to‑wire 8–2 win in the back end to split Saturday's GAC double header at Langston Field. The Bison moved to 28–5 (14–1 GAC) on the day, while Ouachita sits 9–18 (6–9).
Game 1 — Ouachita 5, No. 14 Oklahoma Baptist 4
OBU led most of the way, plating one in the first, one in the fifth, and two in the sixth—highlighted by
Nichelle Marshall's solo homer to right‑center and a go‑ahead run scoring on a wild pitch—but the Tigers rallied late. Karley Burrow blasted a three‑run homer in the fifth to put Ouachita up 3–2, and after the Bison moved ahead 4–3 in the sixth, the hosts scored twice in the seventh on Remington Adams' single, Morgan Uher's RBI knock, and Emily Reed's walk‑off sac fly.
Game 2 — No. 14 Oklahoma Baptist 8, Ouachita 2
OBU flipped the script in the nightcap with production in four different frames.
Ally Ryan got the scoring started with a second‑inning solo homer, then the Bison erupted for three in the fourth—
Katelyn Kilgore singled,
Greenlee Wells followed with a two‑run shot to left, and Ryan added another solo blast. OBU padded the lead with two in the sixth (an RBI single from
Haley Hacker; an RBI single from
Abby Laskowski after
Alexah Reyes pinch‑ran and stole second) and two more in the seventh (Kilgore RBI single;
Nichelle Marshall sacrifice fly).
Jaycee Shaffer scattered 10 hits over 6.0 IP for win No. 16, and
Jaycee Kelln tossed a scoreless seventh to close it.
