TOP STORYLINES
- After putting together one of the finest offensive performances in school history two weeks ago, Oklahoma Baptist hit the wall last Saturday against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
- OBU managed just 126 yards of total offense against SWOSU, the second-fewest in a game during the program's Division II era.
- The Bison finished with 39 rushing yards and 87 passing yards against SW Oklahoma State, averaging 2.2 yards over 58 offensive plays.
- However, the defense came up with a big play again as Sean Larry scooped up a fumble and returned it 15 yards to pay dirt.
- It was the third defensive touchdown of the year for the Bison, tying the 2015 team for the most during the Division II era.
- Oklahoma Baptist has forced four turnovers this season, and has scored on three of them. In addition to Larry's fumble return, Jeremiah Jennings has a pick-six and Jordan Garcia also has a fumble return for a TD.
- The Bison will look to earn their first-ever win over Ouachita Baptist in the Division II area. OBU is 0-10 against the Tigers in the Division II era, and just 2-11-1 all-time against Ouachita.
- The Tigers nearly stunned the college football world last weekend in a near upset of #2 Harding. Ouachita scored with less than 30 seconds to play and went for two and the win, but the ball was batted away in the end zone.
