Bison, Lady Rangers Set For Saturday Showdown

SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball team will host Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. inside the Noble Complex. OBU enters at 7-4 overall and 3-2 in Great American Conference play, while the Lady Rangers, ranked No. 15 by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) are 10-1 and a perfect 5-0 in league action. 
 
The Bison and Rangers have met 17 times inside the Noble Complex where the Bison take the edge with a 12-5 record. OBU lost the last matchup in the 2025 GAC tournament, 65-68 in double overtime. 

Bison Notes 

  • OBU rides a two-game win streak and is 2-0 at home this season. 

  • The Bison average 68.7 points per game and allow 61.9. points, with the latter mark ranking fifth int he GAC. 

  • Jaedyn Getman continues to lead the charge, pacing the team in scoring and rebounding. She is the GAC leader in points per game (21.5) and double-doubles (5). 

  • OBU shoots 40.3 percent from the field and 31.2 percent from three, while hitting free throws at an elite clip (over 80%). 

  • Freshman Jordyn Anderson is a top-25 scorer in the GAC. The newcomer's 10.9 points per game average is slotted No. 22.  

Lady Ranger Notes 

  • NWOSU enters on an eight-game winning streak and is unbeaten in GAC play. 

  • The Rangers boast the league's top scoring margin (+21.5) and allow only 53.2 points per game overall. 

  • Offensively, NWOSU shoots 45.1% from the floor and 35.2% from deep, ranking near the top of the conference. 

  • Their defense is equally impressive, holding opponents to 34.4% shooting. 

  • Balanced scoring and strong perimeter shooting have fueled their success, with multiple players contributing double figures. 

  • Conley Cayot is tied with Getman for the GACl ead in three-point field goal percentage (50.0).
