Sophia Strange makes CSC Academic All-America Team

SHAWNEE – Strange secures spot amongst College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team.

Sophia Strange is in elite company, being only the third Bison female in the school's Division II history to earn CSC Academic All-America Team honors.

Strange is in the company of Lacey Herbert and Emily Sechrist, members of the 2016-2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams.

In her four years as a Bison, Strange has earned a spot amongst the top athletes OBU has seen. The Houston, Texas, native, has won the last three GAC Cross Country Championships and has made several appearances at Nationals.

Strange's resume is filled with accolades from her time in the green and gold and now the Oklahoma Baptist graduate earned the right to add another All-America title to the list. The Texan earned a degree in Nursing, finishing with a 3.80 GPA to post a spot on the CSC Academic All-America Third Team.
