SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist Softball swept the Tigers after a pair of wins in day two of action against Ouachita Baptist. 
Bison Softball completed a sweep of the Ouachita Baptist Tigers Saturday afternoon.
The green and gold shorted the first game of the day after an 8-0 score called for a five-inning ending. The series finale had a bit more action with a 5-4 win for the Bison over OUA.
Game 2
In Game 2 of the series and the first game of the day, the Bison totaled eight runs on nine hits with no errors while the visitors fell scoreless with four hits and one error. 
Oklahoma Baptist had a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning. A big five-run second inning landed the green and gold a 7-0 lead early on. The third stanza went scoreless and the fourth saw the final run come across for OKB, bringing the total to 8-0. A scoreless fifth inning saw the Bison claim an 8-0 shutout for a 2-0 series lead over Ouachita Baptist. 
Greenlee Wells led the OKB offense with a three RBI homer in the second inning. In the fourth inning, Wells brough in another run for the home team with an RBI single. Wells finished 2-3 at the plate with one run scored and four total RBI. 
Sammie Greene had a double, finishing out the first game 2-2 at the plate with two runs scored.
Morgan Max and 
Ally Ryan also contributed RBI for OKB as Max went 1-2 at the plate with an RBI single in the first add the second run to the board for the Bison. Ryan had two RBI, finishing 1-2 at the plate with a two RBI single in the second. 
Kaley Cook went 2-3 at the plate with one run scored and 
Hailey Stanford finished 1-2 at the plate, contributing to the hit count for the home team. 
Greene and Max had a stolen base each for the green and gold. 
Jorja Barrett (W,6-4) got the win after 5.0 innings on the mound, giving up no runs, four hits and one walk with three total strikeouts. 
 
Game 3
In the series finale with Ouachita Baptist, the green and gold finished Game 3 with five runs on six hits with two errors, as the Tigers totaled four runs on nine hits with one error. 
Oklahoma Baptist was first to strike with one run in the bottom of the first. The visitors added a run in the second inning to tie things up. The Bison tacked on another pair of runs in the bottom of the third for a 3-1 lead. The fourth and fifth innings saw one run across for OKB. In the top of the seventh, the Tigers found some late energy with a three-run inning, coming up just short of a comeback, closing out the series with a 5-4 win for the home team, resulting in a 3-0 sweep on the weekend.
Haley Hacker had two homers to lead the OKB offense with three RBI. Hacker closed out the game 2-2 at the plate with two runs scored. 
Nichelle Marshall claimed her third homer of the week after a shot out the centerfield brought the total to four for the green and gold in the fourth inning. Marshall finished 1-2 at the plate with one run scored. 
Max and Cook had the other three hits for the Bison as Cook finished 1-3 at the plate with two runs scored and Max went 2-3 with one RBI. Cook also tallied two stolen bases for the home team. 
Morgan Max (W, 4-7) got the win for OKB after going 7.0 innings on the mound, giving up four earned runs on nine hits, walking three and striking out three. 
After the weekend against Ouachita Baptist, the Bison move to 21-12 overall and 14-3 in conference action with a six-game win streak.
Next up for OKB is a three-game series against Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant beginning Friday. The series will see a 3 p.m.  first pitch for Game 1. Saturday's action with see a doubleheader with a 12 p.m. start time and the series finale to follow.
