Box Score Bison Fall in Five-Set Thriller Against East Central
Ada - Oklahoma Baptist fought through one of the season's most competitive matchups but came up just short against East Central in a five-set thriller (25–15, 25–22, 27–25, 25–16, 17–15), in the final regular-season Great American Conference match of the year. The Bison move to 19–10 overall and 11–5 in GAC play.
The opening set set the tone for the night, featuring fast-paced rallies, strong defensive plays, and aggressive swings from both teams. Oklahoma Baptist came out firing, posting a .316 hitting percentage while holding East Central to just .205. A balanced offensive attack and powerful defense propelled the Bison to a 25–15 first-set victory.
East Central responded in set two, using timely kills to even the match 1–1 with a 25–22 win. The Tigers carried that momentum into set three, edging out the Bison 27–25 in another back-and-forth set.
OBU regrouped in the fourth set, posting a commanding 25–16 win behind a strong front row and six aces to force a decisive fifth set.
The final set was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading points until East Central edged out the Bison 17–15, ending the regular season in a thrilling finish.
Multiple Bison delivered standout performances.
Rylee Unruh led the offense with 23 kills on a .257 hitting percentage while also adding 24 digs.
Allie Stricker contributed 11 kills, while
Melody Donegan added nine kills.

Emily Boyer orchestrated the offense with 41 assists, seven service aces, and 24 digs. Libero
Karsyn Hunter led the back row with 31 digs and nine assists.
Elle Parisi also added 10 digs, contributing to the Bison's 121 total digs.
OBU finished with 62 kills, 12 service aces, and 12 total blocks in a well-rounded team effort.
The Bison now turn their attention to the GAC Tournament, ready to make a strong run in the postseason.
