OBU Set to Host Northwestern for Senior Night

SHAWNEE -- Oklahoma Baptist returns to the Noble Complex on Tuesday, Nov. 11 for Senior Night at 7 p.m. versus Northwestern Oklahoma State. Prior to the match, Karsyn Hunter and Allie Stricker will be honored.

The Bison enter the contest with an 18-8 overall record and a 10-4 mark in GAC play, currently tied for fourth in the standings. Northwestern sits at 6-20 overall and 3-11 in conference action, placing 11th in the GAC.

OBU swept the Rangers earlier this season in Alva, winning 25-18, 25-17, and 25-19. The Bison hold an 18-4 all-time series lead over Northwestern, including victories in eight of the last 10 matchups.

Bison Notes

·  Rylee Unruh ranks fourth in the GAC in kills per set (3.09) and third in points per set (3.81).
·  Unruh also ranks first in service aces per set (0.48). Plus, her 42 aces this fall are just four off the 2016 OBU record held by Sierra VeraCruz (46).
·  Emily Boyer averages 6.21 assists per set, helping guide an offense that ranks fourth in the GAC in kills per set (13.22) and second in hitting percentage (.226).
·  Mackenzie Frazee leads the Bison in blocks per set and ranks third in the conference (1.13) in that category.
·  OBU also ranks second in the conference in service aces per set (1.20) and first in points per set (17.49).

Rangers Notes

·  Northwestern ranks 11th in the GAC in hitting percentage (.148) and kills per set (9.94), while sitting 10th in blocks per set (1.34).
·  Ece Ozdemir leads the team with 2.78 kills per set, while Mikayla White averages 6.49 assists per set.
·  Ryann Eastes anchors the back row with 3.36 digs per set.
·  The Rangers are eighth in the GAC in service aces per set (1.37) and 11th in points per set (12.65).
