SHAWNEE – Angelo State nursed a 1-0 advantage for nearly 70 minutes before scoring twice more during its 3-0 victory over Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday afternoon at the OBU Soccer Complex.
The visitors had a substantial advantage in possession as it held an 18-5 shots lead. However, only six of those were on-target.
On the flip side for the green and gold, they were able to produce just a single shot on goal which was credited to freshman
Emma Teague. In goal, another freshman,
Claire Stoermer, notched three saves for the Bison in her debut.
Also of note offensively for OBU,
Lex Williamson,
Hali White and
Annabelle Joski came up with shots against Angelo State's Amber Lockwood.
During the match, the Rambelles scored in the 16th, 85th and 90th minutes from Graycen Rasmussen, Madison Maxey and Kailee Meyer, respectively.
The Bison's next match comes on the road. On Sept. 11, the team will visit Northeastern State for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
