DALLAS – OBU MBB ends weekend at DBU Thanksgiving Classic with a tough loss to Texas A&M International by four points.
The green and gold faced another heartbreaking loss in the final minutes of action at Burg Center Saturday evening.
In the opening half of play, the Bison went 12-21 from the field. The second half of action saw the green and gold at 50% from the field as well as from the three.
Ricky Brown led the Bison with 11 points, going 5-8 from the field with five total rebounds.
JC Curry and
Ethan Scott each added 10 points for the green and gold.
Nathan Wilson led the team in steals with a couple on the evening and the second most rebounds of the night (6).
Daniel Ransom totaled seven rebounds to lead OBU, also contributing seven points.
The first few minutes saw the Bison struggle to get on the board but once OBU got rolling, the Bison remained in control until the final minutes of play.
Halftime saw both teams tied up at 27-a-piece. The duration of the game saw four ties, and two lead changes.
OBU compiled 30 points in the paint, four fastbreak points and 18 bench points.
The second half saw the Bison total 37 points to TAMUI's 41, ending the evening in favor of the Dustdevils, 68-64.
