SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist (9-6, 3-1 GAC) redshirt sophomore Jill Leslie nearly broke the previous single-match attack percentage record on Thursday during a 3-0 sweep of Southeastern Oklahoma State. She hit .900 with nine kills, just one kill away from reaching the needed benchmark.

Key Leaders
·      Leslie went 9-for-10 in attacks and recorded six block assists, a season-high.
·      OH D'Erricka Frierson was also very potent, registering 10 kills and a .533 attack mark.
·      S Rylee Martin tied for the match-high with 22 assists.
·      L Maci Langford also tied for the match-lead with 11 digs.
·      As a team, OBU hit .435, a season-high, with just eight attack errors on 85 swings.
·      Defensively, the Bison held D'Nari Mills, who came into the match with the second-best kills-per-set average in the nation, to 16 kills and a .128 attack mark.

First Set
The Bison's offense was sensational in the first. They hit .519 and stayed in front after a 4-0 run made the tally 6-2 after a point from Frierson.  Jenna West posted a total of five kills while Leslie and Frierson followed with four. The Savage Storm never let the Bison pull away, however, SE's offense was unable to keep pace with the green and gold who eventually won 25-21.

Second Set
OBU continued to lead against SE with a 25-15 win in the second. The Bison doubled up the Savage Storm, attaining 14 kills to seven. More than midway through, Laney Draper served an ace followed by a block from Head and Leslie which moved the scoreboard to 23-13.  Frierson was the key in the second, totaling five kills while Head followed with four. With another good attack percentage of .367%, OBU's offense continued to put points on the board resulting in 2-0 match lead.

Third Set
A dominant defensive showing in the third helped OBU earn the sweep. The Bison allowed SE to hit just .028 and forced the visitors into nine errors. That spurred Leslie and West to lead the attack as they combined for nine kills. Early in the set, SE trailed behind the Bison,14-9, but OBU extended its advantage to 18-10 after another West kill.
