SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist (1-2, 0-0 GAC) entered the win column for the first time this season with a 107-60 victory over Randall University (2-4, 0-0 NCCAA) on Tuesday night inside the Noble Complex.
It was the first time OBU scored over 100 points since the 2021-22 season when they defeated the University of Science and Arts 107-75.
Five Bison reached double figures in points, led by a 16-point showing from sophomore guard Ethan Scott. He knocked down four triples and went 2-for-2 at the charity stripe in 20 minutes of action.
Joshua Udoumoh scored 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, notching his first career double-double. Udoumoh added a career-high in steals (4) while dishing out four assists.
Freshman Efe Sekeroglu matched the score total (14) and nearly earned a double-double with nine rebounds. Sekeroglu shot 6-of-9 from the field and posted a clean slate at the free-throw line (2-2).
Jose Waring (12 pts), Trevin Wade (12 pts), and Terry Coner Jr. (11 pts) rounded out OBU's double-digit scorers. In his first game of the year, Wade tallied two steals and four assists to go along with a 75.0 percent field goal percentage (6-8).
OBU shot 53.4 percent from the floor while holding Randall to a 37.3 percent clip. The Bison turned in a significant 61-23 margin in rebounds, which included 23 offensive boards. They forced 18 turnovers and dominated the painted area 70-30.
Oklahoma Baptist asserted its dominance quickly, holding the opposition to 12 points while scoring 37 midway through the first half. The Bison lead got up to 38 points (58-21) before going into the break.
The tune was the same in the closing stanza as OBU tacked on 49 more points, shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor, to close out the victory.
Other offensive notables include Byke Burrow's and Daniel Ransom's seven points. Burrow, a redshirt freshman, put in a three-pointer and knocked down a couple of free throws. Ransom added two steals, three assists, and three rebounds.
