Bison Place 20th at Arkansas’s Chile Pepper Festival

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's cross country team raced hard against some quality competitors during their Women's College 5k run at the Chile Pepper Festival on Friday.

Thanks to the efforts of sophomore Sophia Strange, the Bison secured a 20th-place finish overall.

OBU's competition included the likes of the Arkansas State, Oral Roberts, Oklahoma and the host Arkansas Razorbacks, who ranks No. 13 in the national coaches' cross country poll this season.

Strange finished top for Oklahoma Baptist with a time of 17:30.6 at a 5:38 per kilometer pace. That was good for 32nd place overall.
