MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Oklahoma Baptist softball team's struggled continued on Saturday afternoon as they dropped the series finale to Arkansas-Monticello by the score of 14-2 (5).
A pair of sacrifice flies from
Cheyenne Demaree in the first and third innings were the only runs the Bison were able to muster as UAM put five runs on the board in the second and nine runs in the third to open up a huge lead and take the series sweep.
Aspen Younce took the loss in the circle while
Shianne Eddings and
Tiffany Williams saw action in relief.
Demaree had no official at bat with two RBI while
McKenna Anderson was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
Sheyanne Sandoval was 2-for-2 with a double while
Stephanie McDonald was 1-for-1.
OBU needs one win to clinch a spot in the GAC Softball Championship and will look to take that spot next weekend as they head to Arkadelphia to take on Henderson State in their final series of the regular season. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Friday.
